Let’s face it Clueless was a cultural reset. Written and directed by a woman, this hilariously heightened version of high school changed teen comedies for years to come.

Let’s rewind and clue you in on Clueless.

This ’90s adaptation of Jane Austin’s Emma, follows the rich and fabulous life of Cher (Alicia Silverstone). She and her BFF Dionne (Stacey Dash) are at the top of the Beverly Hills high school hierarchy. We follow them as Cher plays matchmaker and makeover artist to the new transfer student Tai (Brittany Murphy).

It’s been 25 years since this teen comedy left a permanent stamp on pop culture. 25 YEARS!? As if!

To celebrate this milestone, you can now own the 25th-anniversary edition of Clueless. And the Blu-ray is packed with incredible interviews of the cast and crew that may change the way you watch the movie. Here’s a look at what you can see in the special features.

Want to know what it took to get your favorite movie made? Or how the creative team found the perfect actor for each character? This special feature is filled with filming gems!

You’ll find out things like why Alicia Silverstone didn’t have to audition for the role of Cher. And the mistake she made while filming the infamous debate scene that became one of the most quotable moments.

When writer/director Amy Heckerling was asked to create a new teen comedy, she unconsciously wrote the ’90s version of the Jane Austin classic Emma. Clueless was actually supposed to be a tv show. In this, you will learn how it was developed into a movie.

You may not realize it, but Clueless changed the way we communicate. The slang used in this film is what was used throughout the ’90s and even today.

Also fun fact: The what-ever W was a total improv and became one of the biggest ’90s trends.

As I said before, Clueless changed pop culture. This featurette breaks down why the film became so popular, and how this cult classic helped to skyrocket virtually unknown actors into fame.

The right clothes can give an actor or actress just what they need to make a character come alive. Costume designer Mona May shows how they created fashion queens in a sea of ’90s grunge. And how they developed looks that had everyone trying to copy the “Cher” style for years to come.

Arguably the most famous scene in the movie: The freeway scene. See the behind the scenes footage.

Another famous scene that was difficult to film. It’s intriguing to see what production had to do to make what seems like a “simple” party game work.

If you’re a fan of Clueless, you really can’t go wrong with this blu-ray. The interviews are a joy to watch, especially because they include the late Brittany Murphy.

So sit back, grab some popcorn (or even some mentos), relax and enjoy a trip down memory lane.
