Sean Giambrone talks Solar Opposites & The Goldbergs, while running away from yard workers.

We had a fun interview with Sean Giambrone on Zoom to talk about his new show Solar Opposites debuting tomorrow on Hulu. The show follows a group of aliens that have escaped their exploding home world, only to crash on Earth. Their mission is to fix their ship and raise a Pupa (killer child-like underling) to maturity, so it may destroy the planet and terraform it as their own.

Sean joined us from his sunny backyard, which started great, until he had to run away from very loud gardeners with laptop in hand. Safely in his much quieter home, we talked about his character Yumulack and the craziness of the show. Which, I had actually watched more of the show than he had. And we, of course, had to discuss the similarities and differences between the show and its adult swim brethren Rick and Morty.

We also touched on his other animated work with the equally vulgar Harley Quinn. And of course, I couldn’t let him go without asking about The Goldbergs.

All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Hulu starting tomorrow May 8th.
